Freie Waldorfschule am Illerblick

The “Freie Waldorfschule am Illerblick” is situated at a historic place in scenic surroundings. The “Oberer Kuhberg” Fortress is located above the banks of the Danube where the Iller River flows into the Danube. The school uses some of the listed buildings that are within the impressive walls and wooded ramparts surrounding the fortress. The fortress that was built on the “Unterer Kuhberg” in the mid-19th century is part of the “Bundesfestung Ulm” fortress, which was then the largest fortification in Europe.
