Reaching Ulm/Neu-Ulm by road is easy. The Danube double city is conveniently located on the A8 motorway (Stuttgart - Munich) and the A7 motorway (Würzburg - Füssen).
Various federal and country roads lead to the city centre, the most important of which are the B10, B19, B28, B30 and B311.
Ulm is a large city and conveniently connected to the rail network. Whether by ICE, IC/EC or night train, it is always easy for travellers to reach the Danube double city comfortably and quickly.
With the completion of the new Ulm - Wendlingen line, shorter journey times to Stuttgart and improvements in regional and long-distance traffic were added from December 2022. With the complete commissioning of Stuttgart 21, which is planned for the end of 2025, the travel time between Stuttgart and Ulm will then be halved to around half an hour.
Many regional trains also stop here. For example, from Lake Constance, the Allgäu, the Swabian Alb or Bavarian Swabia, you can reach Ulm main station or the new Neu-Ulm station without any detours. An inexpensive option is to travel with the Baden-Württemberg or Bavaria ticket. Meanwhile, the agilis transport company operates the Ulm-Ingolstadt route.
